Product Story

Painted by Aboriginal artist Cindy Wallace from Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa), Central Australia, this Women’s Body Dreaming artwork is a celebration of women’s ceremony and connection to Country.
Cindy, a self-taught artist from the renowned Wallace family, has been painting for nearly three decades. Her work speaks of Awelye — women’s ceremonial body painting that honours their Dreaming stories, ancestry, and the rhythm of community life.

Through lines, dots, and circular motifs, Cindy represents the designs women paint on their bodies before gathering in ceremony — expressions of identity, belonging, and strength. These patterns trace the pathways of dance, conversation, and learning that sustain social harmony and cultural continuity in Aboriginal society.

Designer’s Inspiration

When I first saw Women’s Body Dreaming, I was moved by its strength and tenderness — the way it carries both power and peace.
To me, this artwork speaks of feminine resilience and the quiet grace that comes from giving, healing, and serving.
I was drawn to the hope it holds — the promise of womanhood that celebrates life, honours living, and believes in joy.
It became the soul of this collection — a tribute to women everywhere, to our courage to create, nurture, and rise.
