Product Story
Painted by Aboriginal artist Marlene Doolan from Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa), Central Australia, the Bush Berry Dreaming artwork captures the renewal that follows desert rain.
Though Alice Springs is a semi-desert region, winter rains transform the landscape — wild bush berries flourish, and blossoms brighten the red earth.
Marlene’s intricate dots and rhythmic patterns tell this story of regeneration and connection to Country, her artistry revealing both strength and grace.
Designer’s Inspiration
I have always seen Marlene as a colourist magician — and these two artworks, Bush Berry Ecru and Bush Berry Ash, reveal why.
When I first encountered Ecru, I was drawn to its soft, feminine aura — intricate, luminous, and quietly strong.
Then came Ash, with its cool, reflective depth — calm, graceful, and serene.
Together, they felt like two expressions of womanhood — warmth and stillness, joy and grace.
I knew both belonged in this collection, created for women to express themselves freely — because you are bold, beautiful, and meant to be seen and heard.
Handmade with love, by artisan mothers in Australia.
